Summer WorkshopEvery summer, we hold a one-day workshop where you can learn more about engineering education, which includes what engineering is, the importance of teaching engineering, differences between engineering, science, and crafting/art, how to incorporate culturally responsive pedagogy into cross-disciplinary engineering lessons, and experience hands-on engineering activities that you can implement in your classroom!
Who is Eligible to Participate in the Workshop?
- Have finished a teacher preparation program at ODU
- Intend to teach PreK-6 students in the flowing school year
- Have the possibility of being able to integrate engineering into your classroom instruction
- Be able to come to the ODU campus in person
